This portfolio consists of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) projects, with an estimated fiscal 2017 value of $61 million (158 projects, including 1-Tier 1 and 21-Tier 3 projects) for the EIM Technology Delivery team. This position is one of two Portfolio Directors that are accountable for the current EIM portfolio. The successful candidate will lead 18+/- Project Managers and Project Analysts (mix of FTEs and contractors) accountable for the delivery of the technology component of the EIM projects. This is one of seven project delivery portfolios within the shared services EETS PMO.
The EETS PMO's mandate is to deliver technology projects for our business partners that allow them to achieve their overall business strategies.Reporting to the Vice President, DSS, the Portfolio Director oversees a portfolio comprised of multiple and concurrent projects/programs generally up to and including projects with a moderately high to high complexity profile. The Portfolio Director is directly accountable for the successful planning, management and delivery of all projects (through all phases) that comprise part of this portfolio, for the project management processes utilized and ensures a highly competent team of Project Management professionals is available for assignment to projects when required. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Project Management disciplines, a passion for building and maintaining strong working relationships and a desire to develop a high performing team through leadership, coaching and training.
The general accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
• Oversees the successful delivery of technology projects and programs within the portfolio to ensure that they deliver the expected business objectives in terms of scope, cost, quality and schedule. Ensures that appropriate governance bodies exist and engages the appropriate Technology and Business leaders to support the direction of the portfolio
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with all Technology delivery leaders and teams involved in project delivery for the EIM portfolio.Works closely with Technology delivery leaders to understand demand plans for PM engagement/supply throughout the year and to ensure PMs are performing to expectation
• Leads a team of highly effective Program/Project Managers and Analysts accountable for delivering programs and projects assigned to theEIM portfolio.
• Owns the accurate and timely reporting of the project portfolio in terms of portfolio summary status, financials, issues, risks, etc. and provides updates to appropriate EETS executives and stakeholder groups, as required
• Ensures that discipline, controls and enterprise project/program/portfolio methodologies, processes and standards (PDLC, HR, vendor management processes, etc.) are consistently applied to all projects
• As a key leader of the EETS PMO, works closely with other Portfolio Directors, the Practices & Governance Director and the VP, DSS to mature the shared services PMO organization. Focuses on effectively working together to continuously improve the PMO's operating model, methods for effective project delivery and create a continuous improvement culture.

• Superior communication skills (both written & verbal) and facilitation and presentation skills
Other qualifications/skills/experienced
• 10+ years of relevant project management experience, with at least 5 years managing Technology projects
• Specific domain expertise related to this portfolio (basic knowledge of Data Governance, Database/Business Intelligence, ETL process and data lineage, etc.)
• Knowledge of best in class Project Management methodologies and practices
• Knowledge of productivity and PM tools (Clarity, MS Office PC software applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
• Proactive, professional & energetic
• A resilient, self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
• Knowledge of TD internal business practices and related tools/processes is an asset
• Knowledge of and experience working with the Agile methodology is an asset
Educational Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in business or technology
• PMP certification required.
