Elavon is currently seeking a Director/Senior Leader, Market Development – Mobile Payments to assist in our growing place in this market. Mobile Payments and In-App purchasing (IAP) have forever changed the way consumers shop and businesses go to market. Tablets and mobile phones are at the center of a new era of digital consumption where sales are made, payments are accepted and cross device integration created valuable efficiencies. The Internet of things (IOT) and App Marketplaces have not only lead to new products, they have created entirely new industries. Payment integration is one of the most essential elements in a successful mobile product. This position will be responsible brand development and market direction of Elavon’s mobile payments strategy. They will be a subject matter expert of both the mobile payments industry and the Elavon payment platforms and tools used to power the mobile payments industry. They will be tasked with growing brand awareness, increasing revenue and driving strategic direction for Elavon’s current and future state of mobile payments. They will work both internally and externally to execute on the projects and sales initiatives related to these products.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence and implementing of strategic business objectives related to mobile payments.
• Attends trade shows and sales meetings as the primary subject matter expert regarding mobile payment products, tools and integrations.
• Drives the Elavon’s market presence and mobile payments; helping create compelling product offerings to meet the needs of the various customer segments.
• Fosters consistency within the mobile payments industry by overseeing the strategy for the adoption of tokenization, account updater services, use of developer tools and vendor selection.
• Overseeing market analysis, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
• Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods and resources related to mobile payments.
• Engage with product and sales teams to help drive strategy related to digital payment integration in applications and mobile payments as a product.
• Work with internal stakeholders in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
• Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of experience in project management and leadership activities
Five or more years of managerial experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience in a client facing role selling and/or supporting complex enterprise software, technical or financial services
Ability to understand complex requirements and devise customized solutions
Creative deal closer and sales engineer
Solve complex needs and work across internal teams including risk, operations, product etc.
History of exceeding expectations
Experience in software integration, tokenization, mobile applications and digital wallets
Use of authorizations and payment routing on a global scale
Knowledge of network switching, ATM channel and/or transaction processing
Strong business acumen, excellent product management capabilities and an ability to work with technical detail.
Proven experience in defining product strategy for delivering digital payment services on payment networks that enable tokenized, wallet initiated, mobile or ecommerce type transactions.
Strong leadership skills in working with multi-disciplinary teams of both a technical and business nature. Achieves buy-in from relevant internal stakeholders and influences cross-functional teams to achieve deliverables.
Strong problem solving, analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to attend meetings with Customers, or others as business may require.
