Client Experience Managing Director - Ascent (Seattle, WA)
Ascent exclusively services UHNW clients with net worth in excess of $75 MM. The Managing Director, Client Experience (MDCE), serves as the “chief administrative officer” for the Ascent Regional Office. It is the responsibility of the MDCE, in partnership with team members, to achieve client goals and expectations by ensuring operational efficiency and efficacy. Excellent broad-based wealth management and interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful in this role, as well as general financial management, strong operational, project management and organizational skills. He or she must instantly be seen as confident, competent and credible by team members, internal partners, and clients, with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
In addition to broad support responsibilities, he or she should have an entrepreneurial spirit and take an active role in scaling a nationally-prominent division from early growth. The Ascent platform, a multi-family office, includes: open architecture investment management; trust, tax and fiduciary advising; wealth planning, governance, and family education; reporting systems for clients; and operational and compliance areas.
Primary responsibilities will include, among others:
financial management; data management; brand management; and operations and facilities management.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be proficient in banking, trust and investment management operations, very high touch client service coordination, and possess a working knowledge and experience with investment portfolio activities.
The MDCE will support all areas of the UHNW platform and work collaboratively with the rest of the team.
This position reports directly to the Regional Managing Director, and works closely with the RMD to deliver an excellent and consistent experience for all clients.
Qualifications
• Bachelors’ degree required; advanced preferred (CFA, CFP, JD, MBA, etc)
• Five+ years of experience in wealth management or family office; accounting, investment, law, consulting, or financial planning firm; or related business serving UHNW clients
• Prior experience working with UHNW clients in operations or operational support and broad wealth management technical know-how (tax, risk management, investment, cash management, estate planning, philanthropy, etc)
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong project management oversight and relationship management and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and Management experience
• Unquestioned ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Demonstrated problem-solving expertise in working within the private wealth multidisciplinary.
• Demonstrated success in attracting and retaining prospective clients is a significant advantage.
