Our Commercial Banking Marketing Strategists will partner with specified commercial lines of business including but not limited to: C&I Middle Market, Corporate Banking, Asset Based Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Equipment Leasing subsidiaries and People’s United Insurance Agency
To develop, build and execute marketing strategies that are aligned with business growth efforts to enhance new client acquisition, retention and cross sales.
To improve sales efficiency and help accelerate revenue growth, and
To build commercial brand and drive increased awareness and demand for the bank’s products and services.
Act as primary marketing lead for specified commercial lines of business (≈2-3 business segments)
Build marketing strategy which integrates effectively with our sales efforts; vested in the financial success of the business
Utilize in-depth knowledge of the industry and expertise in all aspects of marketing (including strategic marketing, commercial excellence and marketing communications)
Consult with the business to understand all aspects of the current environment and develop short and long term marketing plans to achieve goals and objectives
Sculpt marketing strategy and execution plan (new client acquisition, cross sales and/or retention); access Marketing COEs to leverage expanded expertise
Establish project plan with key deliverables and timeframes; prioritize resources, implement action plan and measure results. Work across functions to establish clear workflows
Share best practices and replicate across markets, segments and other lines of business. Focus on effectiveness of marketing and client engagement strategies along with internal processes for executing campaigns
Play a critical role in building capabilities by aligning and mobilizing the organization through change management. Interface with market presidents/other commercial leadership to understand financial objectives and identify opportunities to drive new client acquisition, cross sell or retention efforts.
Develops and maintains expertise and relationships with industry peers, vendors, groups and organizations and keeps abreast of regulatory, business & technology changes as well as competitive trends.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Job Requirements
College degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience.
Deep Commercial Banking experience, in the areas of C&I Middle Market , Commercial Real Estate, Asset Based Lending, Corporate Banking, Equipment Leasing and Insurance.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies with measurable results.
Change agent who thrives in fast-paced, fluid and ambiguous environments.
Strong problem solving skills; effective at using facilitation to bring out the best ideas in others.
Ability to interpret financial results/business indicators to identify trends/opportunities and using insights to accelerate decision making.
Effective at prioritizing and focusing efforts on critical items; can balance and respond to competing needs within the organization.
Collaborative style and strong relationship builder; adept at influencing at all levels of the organization.
Superior communication skills; ability to present sophisticated or complicated concepts in a clear and articulate manner.
