Job Summary:
The Regulatory Reporting Manager, Vice President reports to the Transaction Banking & Deposits Business Unit Controller and is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of trust and deposit related data. This position performs detailed validation and analytics over data collected and utilizes industry and technical knowledge to create automation and efficiency solutions to drive operational excellence.
Major Responsibilities:
Regulatory Reporting – Summarize results of data analysis and verifications to the Business Unit Controller to support monthly, quarterly, and annual filing information to regulatory agencies, including the Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC and various state agencies. Submit reports in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and bank policies and procedures. Stay informed of regulatory changes, interpret those changes into reporting requirements, and partner with business areas to implement processes to gather and report the data for the bank.
Change Management – Create solutions to further enhance and automate processes. Collaborate across business units to create best practices. Recommend changes in process, policies, or procedures as necessitated in response to new or revised laws and regulations, or as part of new product introductions and system enhancements. Provide training and guidance to other personnel within the department.
Business Line Liaison – Build and maintain strong partnerships with key business colleagues and partners who support the regulatory reporting process. Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests. Serve on working committees or project teams as assigned, providing advice and guidance as subject matter expert representing assigned BUC unit.
Support month-end close as needed.
Regulatory Examinations and Audits – Coordinate information requests and generate reports to facilitate internal and external examinations and other control reviews as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance, or Information Systems
• 7 to10+ years’ professional experience in accounting or finance with a focus on reporting and analytics, preferably in complex financial services organization
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred
• Strong/broad understanding of accounting, finance, and auditing concepts and standards
• Extensive project management experience with systems implementations and change management
• Ability to influence people at different levels and negotiate cross functionally
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential
• Superior quantitative capabilities and demonstrated analytical skills
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of relational databases required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, VBA, Access, PowerPoint; ability to model and create complex spreadsheets; able to create and run SQL commands and understand/analyze the results
