What is the opportunity?
The Director of Retail Deposit Productsis a member of the Personal Banking team. Reporting to the Head, Everyday Banking (EDB) & Customer Growth, you will be accountable to manage a comprehensive and integrated EDB product and pricing strategy and portfolio to drive market share growth and optimize performance while managing risk/return.
What will you do?
As the Director of Retail Deposit Products you will:
• Develop and implement banking solutions to optimize the financial performance of the full retail deposit product portfolio (includes: chequing, savings, overdraft, safety deposit boxes and consumer debit), through the management of risk, balance, mix, spread and non-interest revenue
• Lead the end to end customer experience and lifecycle management of the portfolio and pricing optimization, which includes the development of integrated customer offers and bundled pricing across the full retail deposit product suite to drive market share growth, customer retention/acquisition, and risk management
• Stay abreast of emerging external factors (e.g., competitive, market, regulatory, technology) that will impact product portfolio or strategies and provides recommendations to capitalize on changes to meet overall business objectives and/or minimize risk
• Design, monitor and maintain end-to-end retail deposit-related policies and procedures that ensure the management of risk and effective and efficient delivery of products
• Coach and develop a high performing team
Qualifications
What you bring to the table
• University degree in Business, Economics, Math, or Engineering. Preferably a Graduate degree (MBA or Masters in Economics, Math, Engineering)
• 7+ years’ product management experience within the financial services industry
• P&L and risk management experience is an asset
• Superior relationship management skills to partner and work closely with internal groups and stakeholders
• In-depth strategic thinking, planning, and project management skills
• Customer-centric mindset
• Demonstrated leadership in coaching and developing team members
