Job Summary:
Develop, implement and manage marketing programs for assigned business units.Contribute to the evaluation of the performance of established products and programs and provide strategic assistance to enhance product line marketability and profitability.
Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and present strategic marketing recommendations to senior management relative to specified new product development, existing product enhancements, positioning, pricing, profitability, distribution channels, and marketing/advertising programs in support of the Bank goals.
• Manage project implementation in support of marketing plan objectives.
• Coordinate efforts of multiple functional areas, monitor progress and make recommendations on work flow and timeliness to achieve completion of approved marketing programs in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of industry competition, market share (where available), market conditions, past performance of industry and field, operational constraints, and legal/compliance requirements.
• Work with appropriate areas to monitor, analyze and forecast profitability and performance of assigned products and marketing programs on an on-going basis.
• Develop annual marketing plan for assigned products in support of product annual business plans that identify goals, objectives and tactics to support area's goals.
• Manage/monitor development of advertising, direct marketing, collateral and other marketing programs as required by developing project-specific marketing/creative strategy documents for the effective development of these elements.
• Manage agencies and vendors.
• May assist Divisional Promotions Managers with respective local marketing/advertising efforts.
• Analyze results of local marketing efforts to maximize effectiveness and return on investment.
• Provide marketing support and direction for new ventures such as acquisitions, cross-sell and pilot programs.
Qualifications
• Requires a minimum of 7 to 10 years of marketing or product management experience including collateral, advertising and direct response.
• Experience across a range of products is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years financial services experience is recommended.
• Requires strong computer skills of Bank's standard software applications, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to copy write and edit is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop and manage resources to implement marketing strategies for products, services and markets to take advantage of identified market opportunities and to differentiate the Bank from competition.
