Overview
We are seeking a senior level marketing professional to oversee a team that is responsible for the strategy and execution of thought leadership content, integrated marketing campaigns, as well as external and internal communications.
What will you be doing?
As the Director of Content and Communications, you will be a leader within the global marketing team and will build a unified brand experience across all content, ensuring there is a single “voice” that represents AvePoint’s brand and identity.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Content and Communications will lead a team of creatives, public relations, and communications experts, as well as own all branding touch points. You will craft and maintain the company brand, including messaging, tone, and public and analyst relations.
Goals include: creating high-traffic blog content, lead-converting resources, and shareable creative projects; driving awareness and influencing public opinion through PR and influencer relations; attracting site traffic and social followers, driving new sales leads, empowering sales with relevant content to send prospects, and fueling PR and influencer relations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Content:
Responsible for all content marketing and brand awareness initiatives, as well as creation of demand generation based content to drive traffic, engagement, and leads
Collaborating across the organization to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives, as well as measuring results of content initiatives and developing reports to show value back to the business
Overseeing strategy for AvePoint’s social media channels – including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, and driving engagement through informative, educational content as well as monitoring for company mentions and responding to inquiries
Supporting marketing stakeholders, including digital marketing, demand generation, sales enablement, and partner channels/verticals.
Communications:
Responsible for building relationships with the press, analysts, social media influencers, partners, and customers
Developing and executing comprehensive communication plans, including media relations, analyst relations, social media, content, and internal communications for major company initiatives, including product launches and major industry events
Editing all public-facing content, including product collateral, web text, blog posts, and email blasts, to maintain clarity and consistency with core company messaging, and proper grammar
Working with cross-functional teams, such as sales and customer success – turning customer stories into sales enablement materials, including case studies, references, and social media content – as well as Human Resources and Operations teams – maintaining a positive company culture and strengthening employer brand

Other qualities you’ll need to be a fit for this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
Proven and visible marketing veteran, with 5+ years of experience creating content for the web across several disciplines (text, design, video, etc.) and media (blogging, guides, whitepapers, research, infographics, podcasts, etc.), and/or public relations and media outreach experts
Leadership experience with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly analytical
Excellent ability to collaborate cross functionally
Manage agencies and vendor relationships
Ability to act and thrive in a fast-paced environment
