Business Overview:
BNP Paribas Securities Services MFS (Markets and Financing Services) offers capital markets and cash financing solutions and services to support its client’s custody and clearing activities, corporate trust activities and assets and funds activities. Our services cover all client segments, namely buy-side, sell side and corporate clients. MFS employs over 600 professionals and experts across the world with offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Our products include Forex, collateral management and transformation, agency and principal lending and buy-side and sell-side financing.
Responsibilities:
• The primary responsibility of this role is to develop BNP Paribas Securities Services’ Markets & Financing activity in the US working in tandem with local Business Heads (ex. Forex, Agency Securities Lending, Cash Financing) and with the Global Business Development & Solutions team based in Paris.
• Develop local product strategy: identification/development & validation of target market segments according to MFS development strategy; building and executing the product development road-map to achieve and maintain competitive advantage, and to meet agreed financial targets
• Develop and maintain product solutions to anticipate and address the market’s needs on an ongoing basis in order to create the market-leading solution for our target market segments
• Design new solutions or product evolution (from concept to implementation and commercialization) and coordinating the impact and risk assessment analyses according to the BP2S product validation process (NAC/TAC): writing business cases and product approval documents (NAC/TAC) for any new product developments/evolutions
• Maintain a high level of expertise on the solution/product/service and anticipate new requirements
• Develop and maintain in coordination with Marketing and Communications the product collateral (e.g. standard product description, story boards, standard scope of services documents, ‘demo’ environments and scripts)
• Develop and maintain pricing models, pricing guidelines, set pricing strategy; review and approve financial proposals
• Sponsor new product implementation projects (executed by IT and Operations) in tandem with Project Management
• Support Client Development teams in competitor and target market analysis
• perform regulatory watch & market watch on our MFS activities and coordinate with the Central Head of Regulatory Watch
• monitor the local product profitability
• Perform MFS solutions training and ensure support for the Client Development teams

Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate should:
• Be authoritative in front of clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Have direct experience of the securities services or capital market industry
• Have the ability to assess business/new product opportunities and develop and present business cases
• Have knowledge and experience of the buy side and sell side sectors
• Have the ability to work across various constituencies and in particular coordinate with local MFS business heads and with the Global BD&S team based in Paris
