Director, Debit Product and Portfolio Management
Overview
The Global Debit Product Management team is focused on delivering compelling solutions that meet the current and emerging payment needs for Issuers, Merchants and Consumers.
Specifically, this team is responsible for delivering thought leadership across key topics including retail banking consumer profitability, cost of cash, global best practices for consumer engagement and government interaction, as well as defining and managing strategy plan, driving cash displacement and new revenues by optimizing the debit portfolios and business models.
As Director, Debit Product and Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to accelerate consumer profitability in a B2B2C environment including ATM to POS migration of our portfolios, consumer lifecycle management and behavior impact on the debit ecosystem.
Key to the role will be the ability to problem solve, work with regional stakeholders and demonstrate strong presentation and project management skills as you work cross functionally to develop, action, and manage the optimization strategies.
Role
• Design and develop retail banking thought leadership content for both internally and externally global audience, as well as share best practices, that positions MC as a thought leader and supports market needs with actionable and relevant insights
• Partner with the regional and country teams to identify ATM to POS optimization opportunities, supporting those strategies, and driving the execution. This includes sizing and prioritizing the business with an understanding of the different market dynamics, the competitive landscapes and the challenges.
• Lead the cash displacement across consumers, issuers and merchants by integrating marketing initiatives, pricing models, emerging payments, and other core products into the go to market strategy
• Develop new strategies that will use x-border and e-commerce to drive volume and profitability growth.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a cross functional team environment.
• Proven track record of product management/development desirable
• Retail banking or debit experience is required; experience in financial services a plus; international market knowledge/experience a plus; consulting experience a plus
• Travel may be required
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
