Major Responsibilities:
• Leading the Global Function for Global OFAC Systems Testing
• Facilitating change and process re-engineering to achieve global consistency.
• Defining, establishing and maintaining the global sanctions screening technology testing strategy and program that would evaluate and test at time of implementation and at regular intervals thereafter in BTMU Americas, to ensure that the compliance software and systems are effectively fulfilling the regulatory objectives set by the Technology working group
• Documenting the testing strategy, plans, memos
• Lead the testing team in identifying any gaps in the uniform adoption of sanctions-related technology, including sanctions screening software, and consistency in data retention, controls, reconciliation, system settings, and parameters, etc.
• Ensuring that testing is done globally according to the approved procedures and that system changes have been appropriately implemented
• Escalating concerns and issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
• Experience with testing and adjusting settings on HotScan or Fircosoft will be a plus
• Global compliance experience desired
• Should be a self-starter with strong collaborative, analytical, written/verbal communication skills and be well versed in MS Office.
• Strong leadership/managerial skills, and supervisory experience managing a team;
• 5-8 years of experience working in compliance, operation or technology function of a large commercial and/or investment bank or in a regulatory agency, with direct sanctions experience and oversight.
• Knowledge of laws applicable to sanctions and money laundering, including OFAC requirements and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA);
• Experience in, and ability to, execute enterprise-wide technology strategy or standards and effectively communicate and drive change.
• BA/BS; MBA most desired
