Acceptance Insurance is currently seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for our Corporate Office located in the Nashville, TN (Green Hills area).
Job Summary:
The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for analyzing business results and trends, providing financial decision support, budgeting/forecasting and driving business results through the identification of productivity and process improvement opportunities. The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a collaborative environment and possess the proven ability to influence other finance and business leaders. In addition, he or she must be able to effectively communicate financial results and analysis outputs to executive level audiences. This role will manage financial professional(s) with a heavy focus on providing operational support and providing consistent actionable insights. This key leadership role will require strong leadership qualities, exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate results in a clear and concise manner.

Acceptance Auto Insurance is principally a retailer, servicer and underwriter of non-standard personal automobile insurance based in Nashville, Tennessee. We currently write non-standard personal automobile insurance in 17 states. We issue policies as a licensed insurer in 12 of these 17 states and are licensed as an insurer in a total of 25 states.
We currently lease and operate approximately 350 retail locations and a call center staffed with employee-agents. Our employee-agents primarily sell non-standard personal automobile insurance products underwritten by us, as well as certain commissionable ancillary products. In most states, our employee-agents also sell a complementary insurance product providing personal property and liability coverage for renters underwritten by us. In addition, select retail locations in highly competitive markets offer non-standard personal automobile insurance serviced and underwritten by other third-party insurance carriers.
Currently, business written from 83 recently-acquired retail locations in four states (California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada) is limited to policies underwritten by other third-party insurance carriers. In addition to our retail locations, we are able to complete the entire sales process over the phone via our call center or through the internet via our consumer-based website or mobile platform. On a limited basis, we also sell our products through selected retail locations operated by independent agents.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing independent judgment and discretion, identifies trends, variances, and key issues and provides recommendations for adjustment
• Create and produce financial reporting including, but not limited to P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and CAPEX
• Deliver innovative, high value-added financial information and supporting analysis to the management team for strategic planning and decision making
• Lead a broad range of ad-hoc projects focused on reducing costs and driving operational efficiencies
• Provide financial support to the organization and partner with departments to monitor their financial results
• Lead the annual planning process and routine forecasts
• Prepare Executive and Board financial performance summaries and reports and ensure information is complete and accurate
• Identify areas for improvement in processes and reporting
• Monitor general ledger transactions for accuracy
• Perform various ad hoc analyses as requested
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
Qualifications:
