The Global Communications team directs internal employee and external communications efforts to ensure the company's messages are aligned and delivered in accordance with Prudential’s goals and policies.
In this highly visible role, you will lead, shape and serve Prudential and PGIM’s growing global footprint. You will help to bring to life a global, company-wide external communications strategy powered by markets intelligence and media insight.
Responsibilities include:
• Partner with our Asset Management business groups (PGIM) to lead development of external communications strategy domestically and EMEA markets.
• Oversee strategic external communications planning and earned media campaign management, consulting on conference and sponsorship strategy.
• Partner with other corporate functions (legal, finance, risk), as well as colleagues across Brand Marketing & Advertising to construct and execute holistic and integrated multi-channel communication strategies.
• Identify and leverage macro trends to inform and position appropriate business narratives, and create multi-layered communications plans to amplify these narratives across the right mix of traditional, social, digital and earned media.
• Discern and capitalize on creative news angles.
• Establish and nurture relationships with media targets, both traditional and non-traditional.
• Present the capabilities of the broader Global Marketing Communications team in a value-added way for the consumption and action of the client.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any field of academic rigor, advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of professional communications/public relations experience; preferably a mix of both corporate and consulting backgrounds.
• Media relations experience.
• Knowledge of content and channel strategy across traditional, social and emerging platforms.
• Sophisticated understanding of asset management industry, culture and corresponding client profile.
• Ability to package and present insight using tools and language familiar to businesses.
• Exhibit concise and engaging verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to partner and deliver strategic business value; be at ease providing incisive, strategic counsel to senior executives and business heads.
• Strong executive presence and ability to drive consensus in decision making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and nurture junior talent, including direct reports in a large company setting.
• Collaboratively drive processes and integrate concepts.
• Applies insights from analytical tools to shape outcomes.
• Possess a global worldview, knowledge of geopolitical and macroeconomic forces, and insatiable intellectual curiosity.
