Senior Vice President - Financial Advisory Services (Dispute Resolution)
Responsibilities
The open position is for a Senior Vice President based in Houlihan Lokey’s Los Angeles office who will be dedicated to the Financial Advisory Services business’s growing Dispute Resolution practice.
The Dispute Senior Vice President in our Financial Advisory Services business will be a fully integrated member of engagement teams, which can typically range in size from two to five members and comprise a combination of Managing Director, Director, Senior Vice President, Vice President, Associate, and Financial Analyst. As a Senior Vice President, your primary activities will include overall project management; presenting analyses and conclusions internally to the engagement principal as well as possible external presentations to our clients’ senior management, Boards of Directors, and retained counsel; managing the day-to-day tasks of projects and serving as an additional contact with client personnel; managing client deliverables; reviewing valuation, lost profits/business damages and other financial models; actively participating in due diligence meetings; directing the efforts of Associates and Financial Analysts; leading and assisting with the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives; networking with prospects to build revenue producing relationships; maintaining established Houlihan Lokey law firm relationships, and assist in cross-selling other Houlihan Lokey services as part of their business development activity. The successful candidate will have the potential to develop financial expert-related opinions and provide testimony as to opinions developed, as required.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, and possess strong skills in overall project management and leadership skills. Other key qualifications include the ability to perform complex financial analysis, must be respected as a team player, and possess proven business development skills with the ability to effectively sell complex advisory products. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory, keen analytical capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of post-MBA finance, accounting or valuation experience, or a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience, including practical experience in lost profits/business damages analyses. Candidates who have worked in a Big Four environment in valuation/dispute practices or a national litigation firm as a manager or higher are preferred. Because this position requires prior relevant work experience, recent MBA graduates may not be qualified.
