DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a communicator who is not only fluent in benefits, but also brings creativity, innovation and a focus on improving our employees’ experience to all he/she does.
As a member of Morgan Stanley’s HR Communications team, you’ll plan, write, edit and oversee the distribution of a wide range of internal messaging with an eye toward understandability, quality, accuracy and innovation. Your chief clients will be the benefits and retirement teams. You’ll partner with them to develop and execute a strategy that promotes and helps employees take full advantage of the Firm’s best-in-class health, wellness and financial programs.
We’re a small team with an exciting agenda of initiatives that support a large, global organization, so you’ll need to be a team player who is always thinking of ways to further HR’s and the Firm’s success.
The right candidate is an exceptional writer, who has an analytical mind, experience partnering with and influencing stakeholders and a proven track record of successfully executing strategic projects while ensuring the team’s business-as-usual assignments are completed on time and accurately. The position requires both a strategic thinker and a hands-on, tactical communicator who understands that communications and marketing are two sides of the same coin.
A passion for the written word coupled with deep technical knowledge is a must. While you will focus on benefits (including annual enrollment), wellness and retirement, you’ll also be called on to write about executive compensation, diversity, talent development and recruiting. Your organizational skills will touch all parts of the communications process as you lead multiple projects. You’ll work with senior HR leaders, subject matter experts, attorneys, designers, technology professionals, and need to be confident providing strategic insights and recommendations. You must also be able to help others communicate clearly and effectively. When mapping out communications strategies, you’ll draw on various channels – email, print, web, video and more – to engage, influence and educate your audience.
