Morgan Stanley & Co LLC seeks a Vice President, Investment Banking in New York, New York:
Oversee and manage teams of investment banking professionals in the identification, analysis, and presentation of critical Investment Banking deals. Manage daily operations and professionals within the Investment Banking Division (IBD) Management team. Serve as regional head and coordinator of cross-divisional projects within Morgan Stanley. Oversee internal financial planning and analysis projects on behalf of IBD Senior Management, which will include managing budgets, revenue projection, expense planning, and review of capital commitments. Lead internal coordination of initiatives across various functional areas to create more effective and efficient processes in the Investment Banking Division, including review of client segmentation, tracking client interactions, improving fee realization, banker productivity measures, and sharing of best practices. Supervise talent management, including junior banker recruitment and training of Analysts and Associates. Participate in strategic discussions around roll-out of new technology in IBD. Lead coordination of workstreams both within the IBD Management team as well as across different geographies and divisions within the Firm, including Morgan Stanley’s regional headquarters in London and Hong Kong. Perform analytical reviews of competitors' trading and operating metrics and identify U.S., European and Asian industry landscape trends and opportunities. Prepare IBD Management leadership for various presentations and Board meetings. Work with a team of Analysts and Associates in their day-to-day tasks by assigning projects and responsibilities, as well as collecting and communicating feedback supporting periodical performance reviews.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the position offered or as an Investment Banking Associate, Investment Banking Analyst, or related occupation in Investment Banking. Employer will accept a 3 or 4-year Bachelor’s degree. The employer will accept any amount of experience with the following: prior experience in Investment Banking in multiple geographic regions, including in North America; experience performing financial analysis and modeling for clients; experience applying fundamental statistical concepts including correlation and regression analysis; experience advising clients on transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and equity and debt financings; experience developing client relationships at C-suite and junior level; experience coordinating internal workstreams involving multiple teams across divisions and geographies, including performing research and due diligence, assisting reverse due diligence process, and drafting and creating marketing materials; experience utilizing financial techniques such as Discount Cash Flow analysis, comparable trading multiples, precedent transaction multiples, Discounted Equity Value analysis, Leveraged Buy-Out analysis, transaction modeling for financing or M&A transactions, and modeling of the financial impact of various debt and equity instruments; experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; and experience using market data tools and technologies including Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson One, Pitchbook, LCD Comps, MergerMarket, Intralinks, Merrill Datasite, and RoadshowAccess; prior experience in supervising junior associates and analysts in creating client presentations, including pitch books, valuation presentations, rating agencies presentations and deal and non-deal roadshow presentations, financial analysis, and modeling.
