Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned sovereign credit analyst to join the investment grade credit research group at TD Asset Management. The role will focus on covering investment-grade and cross-over countries in Europe, Asia and South America. The position would be based in either Toronto or New York.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform fundamental credit analysis for sovereign issuers in Europe, Asia, and Central/South America.
• The Analyst will evaluate issuer creditworthiness, prepare well-articulated research reports, and participate in relative value discussions.
• Work closely with existing sovereign analysts, our team of corporate credit analysts, portfolio managers and traders.
• Possibility to cover sector corporate credits as well, if appropriate.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of credit experience, with deep sovereign-rating experience in Emerging Markets and/or Developed Markets.
• Investment experience from buy-side, sell-side or rating agency environment preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong accounting and finance background.
• Bloomberg, Microsoft Office experience.
