JOB:
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President in New York, New York:
Responsible for developing the Quality Assurance (QA) strategy, coordinating all QA activities across multiple product lines, and for ensuring delivery with the highest levels of quality. Lead the tactical delivery of QA artifacts using an Agile, test-driven development (TDD), Shift-left, or Waterfall testing methodology. Advocate for and implement quality assurance processes across multiple technology areas and product lines. Champion the development of a comprehensive functional, automated, performance and mobile test strategy. Pro-actively and collaboratively take part in all testing-related activities and establish partnerships with key stakeholders in the Project Management, Development, and Operations/Business teams, to drive overall quality assurance from inception to production. Also advocate for Quality Assurance best practices across the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), not just within the Testing / QA phase. Coordinate the activities of onshore and offshore testing teams. Ensure adherence to Testing Governance policies and oversee quality of deliverables from offshore team members. Produce quality dashboards to highlight quality of current releases and provide predictability for production readiness. Work with project managers to identify and plan testing activities to provide estimates. Facilitate continuous improvement in all areas of the SDLC, from continuous integration, agile adherence, estimation and tracking of artifacts to execution of test processes through the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or as a Consultant or related occupation. The employer will accept any amount of experience with the following skills: extensive experience with portfolio and performance reporting tools. Requires experience with Capital Markets domain. Requires experience with calculation methodologies for TWR/DWR/Benchmark returns and Risk Metrics such as Alpha, Beta, Semi Variance, and R Squared. Requires experience with Automation testing tools such as Test Complete, QTP/UFT, JSON, Selenium, and Backend testing tools such as Unix, SQL Server, SSIS Package. Requires extensive experience in test environment management, including defining code deployment strategies in the test environment, building and maintaining automated batch schedules, etc. Requires experience with Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and processes such as Defect Management, ALM, etc.
