Department Profile:
Shared Service and Banking Operations provide utility processing services to Global Operations. By functionalizing processes across segments, SSBO realizes efficiencies through scale, location strategy and adoption of best practices. SSBO provides quality operational core processes at an optimal price point, with maximum benefit to MS business lines. Services currently provided by SSBO include Cash Management, OTC Derivative and Security Settlements, Position Services, Reconciliations, Tax, Client Reference Data, Network Management and Vendor Management.
Team Profile:
The Primary team is responsible for booking and the operational management of loans originated by Morgan Stanley throughout EMEA including Emerging Markets, Commercial Real Estate and Warehouse transactions. The Business Units work with clients in multiple jurisdictions to tailor lending solutions to suit their varying needs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders across the Lending teams, Legal, FCG, Compliance, Tax and Credit. They will be involved in the process of executing bespoke transactions for major clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Working with GLS team in London in respect of closing and funding of deals where MS acts as Arranger or Lender
• Deal set up for transactions in Loans systems
• Review of Loan documents
• Ensuring AML / KYC is completed where required
• Working with appropriate groups on the internal booking structure
• Settlement of syndication trades with external clients / third parties, ensuring accurate set up and booking of transactions in the firm’s books and records
• Processing of fee income
• Break management and resolution.
• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly metrics
• Interaction with senior stakeholders both within Operations as well as Investment Banking/Capital Markets, Direct Lending, Legal and Finance.
• Working as and when required in respect of the roll out of Workflow tools and IT projects
Qualifications
Skills required (essential):

• Good understanding of risk management and appropriate escalation
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks appropriately

• Self-motivated and willing to assume extended responsibility
• Assumes ownership of problems and drives towards their resolution
• Knowledge of Loans markets preferable
