BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW
The Human Capital Management (HCM) Division is comprised of centrally and divisionally aligned teams which specialise in addressing the needs of particular client groups. HCM is made up of several functions including Business Partners and Centres of Expertise. Business Partners (BPs) are responsible for partnering with divisional leadership on all key global HCM and divisional people initiatives and strategic priorities. HCM Centres of Expertise, such as Employee Relations; Leadership and Diversity; Goldman Sachs University; Talent Acquisition; Reward and the Talent Assessment Group, partner with BPs to provide advisory services to employees and divisional management.

HCM is responsible for a broad range of activities, including identifying and recruiting the best talent and partnering with managers to retain, develop and motivate our people to help them reach their full potential.
As a member of the HCM team you will cover a wide range of responsibilities for the German Bank employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and drive key initiatives and people priorities in Frankfurt office, in partnership with London and across the Continental Europe region
• Be a trusted advisor and build effective relationships at all levels to the employees in the office, be able to influence outcomes and be a credible HCM business partner
• Deliver optimal execution of HCM matters to local managers and employees
• Engage effectively with business leaders in all aspects of the talent cycle including:
• Supervise the recruitment and new hire process including interviewing, writing employment contracts and effective onboarding
• Co-ordinate international relocation, internal transfers i.e. applying for work permits, liaising with the Global Mobility Services team and external vendors as well as advising employees on relocation issue
• Work collaboratively with local management to know talent in the office and build a strong platform for people development
• Manage year end promotion, quartiling and compensation processes
• Manage risk effectively and navigate complex matters:
• Handle employee issues and providing guidance on legal employment subjects and policy interpretation
• Manage the leavers process including termination agreements and exit interviews
• Maintain general oversight of and ensuring local application of all HCM policies and procedures
• Work with external vendors and authorities as appropriate
• Liaise with legal department and employee relations relating to employee issues
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience with daily HR business, ideally in an international and banking environment
• Degree and local qualifications within Human Resources preferred
• Broad knowledge of German labour law and knowledge of German social security and tax practices
• Ability to work in a matrixed organization and manage multiple stakeholders in an international firm
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Strong desire to learn and to work in a team oriented environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence along with a capability of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Project-management experience
• Fluency in German and English are essential
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
