Investment Banking Division - Nordic Coverage - Vice President

Morgan Stanley’s Nordic Investment Banking team is currently looking to hire an Associate / Vice President level professional to join the team in our Stockholm office. Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division builds and maintains close relationships with corporations and governments around the world in order to provide both traditional and innovative solutions that meet their individual strategic and financial needs. Investment Banking Professionals work on assignments which include various types of transactions (M&A, capital markets) and business development projects while interacting directly with senior-level financial and strategic decision-makers at some of the world’s largest corporations, as well as with smaller, emerging growth clients.
An ideal candidate would have prior financial industry or investment banking experience, alternatively experience from a top-tier management consulting firm or corporate law firm.
Responsibilities
• Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions (including IPOs, M&A, strategic advisory)
• Evaluating clients’ strategic landscape and make recommendations on potential strategic actions
• Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research
• Advising clients of the investment banking division on a broad range of transactions
• Analyzing and advising on a broad range of financial matters to companies’ managements, boards and shareholders and coordinate with legal, regulatory, accounting and other advisors
• Developing and maintaining key business relationships with senior corporate management and board of directors
• Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner
• Working closely with senior bankers on the team and across other groups
Qualifications
Skills required
• Top class undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics (or related field) from leading university
• Strong experience in Banking working with multinational corporate clients for a global financial services firm
• Strong numerical and analytical skills combined with a strategic and commercial mind set
• Strong people management skills – able to motivate, direct and empower team members through ongoing feedback and coaching
• Strong team player - able to contribute to a team environment that balances individual initiative and team accomplishments
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a team environment
• Client-centricity – ability to establish rapport with clients so they feel that they have a “personal” relationship with the Firm/Division
• Strong professional skills - recognized for product/functional knowledge and execution
• Excellence – able to identify opportunities to optimize a team’s talents and an ability to contribute to profitability and efficiency
• Innovation – able to identify creative solutions in the face of complex problems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
