The Associate Director role is an opportunity to join a family office team that advises families of very significant wealth across the full spectrum of services that address the tactical and strategic wealth issues that these families face. Ascent Private Capital Management is a boutique multi-family office business that is a division of U.S. Bank Wealth Management.
The Associate Director will support a team of two Managing Directors and a Director in the Cincinnati office. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate, articulate, team-oriented, introspective and obsessively detailed individual to gain a front-row seat to work with a small group of families with average investment portfolios exceeding $100 million. This associate will gain exposure to an institutional-like investment consulting process that utilizes global investment strategies as well as both public and private investment vehicles.
Responsibilities will include the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of investment portfolios per investment policies, collaborate and coordinate with internal teams all investment reporting reviews, lead operations-related activities across various investment systems, provide various project management support, and manage the administration and tracking of limited partnership (private capital and hedge fund) subscriptions and K1 tax documents.
The allocation of time related to the above responsibilities will approximate:
• 50%: Provide support on the overall investment consulting process
• 20%: Prepare investment reports and reviews; system and data maintenance and quality assurance, project management
• 15%: Limited partnership administration and reporting
• 5% Portfolio administration and compliance support
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, finance, accounting or engineering but will consider “other” if you can convince us of your merits
• 2-3 years of experience in an investment-related function or corporate finance / accounting role
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• In-process of or has obtained the CFA designation
• Demonstrated team experiences
• Desire to learn, curious, and passionate about client experience
• Analytical rigor and demonstrable Excel modeling capabilities
• Strong organization and time management skills
