Qualified candidates in this position strengthen U.S. Bancorp Asset Management's (USBAM) relationship with existing institutional accounts by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives. Primary responsibility is increasing account retention and maximizing revenue growth. Will work closely with portfolio managers, sales staff, and product developers to provide superior customer support and revenue growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintain and enhance relationships with existing institutional clients. Promote investment product sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy, account performance, new products, and market developments.
2. Work closely with sales portfolio management, product specialist/client portfolio manager and/or client service staff to coordinate all marketing, sales, and support services for assigned accounts.
3. May be responsible for complex institutional accounts.
4. Has a thorough understanding of each assigned account’s requirements.
5. Actively ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
• 10 or more years of experience in portfolio management, institutional financial product sales, marketing, or relationship management
• CFA certification, strongly preferred
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Considerable knowledge of USBAM’s institutional money market funds and securities lending products and services
• Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
