Digital Operational Risk, Wealth Management
The Digital Operational Risk unit is a first line of defense function responsible for overseeing the operational risk and controls of Wealth Management’s new Digital business line. This team partners with management across the Digital business to assess risks, implement control processes and procedures, manage audits and exams, and conduct the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
The Assistant Vice President role in the Digital Operational Risk unit will support the unit’s Assessments and Policies & procedures teams and be responsible for the following:
• Obtaining an understanding of aspects of the Digital business and new Digital
initiatives in order to draft relevant governing policies & procedures and
analyze operational risks.
• Assisting toward completion of the annual RCSA and other assessment
processes, identifying control gaps and facilitating control remediation projects.
• Helping prepare for upcoming third party exams (e.g., internal audit), track
issues, drive action plans, and report incidents.
• Preparing monthly/quarterly metrics dashboards to inform senior management
of status on key operational risk metrics and incidents.
• Eventually leading front-to-back reviews of identified risks and the relevant
control suite in order to identify opportunities for further risk mitigation.
• Ensure that front office controls are being executed.
Qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience in financial services risk management roles, with direct-to-consumer and wealth management experience preferred
• Demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment and in dynamically deploying skills
• Comfort working with business, functional, and risk management stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Self-starter with a can-do approach and delivery focused mind set
• Detail-oriented and accurate
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Bachelor’s Degree
