Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Change Services (ECS) Department at Oaktree performs cross organization change initiatives impacting the long term capabilities of the business similar to the function of a traditional Enterprise PMO (Project Management Office). Based in Los Angeles, this position will serve as a project manager and business analyst with the opportunity to participate in a wide array of global cross functional change initiatives.
Day-One Responsibilities Include:
Project Management
• Managing projects in accordance with the standards/requirements of the Project Management Lifecycle and System Development Lifecycle; planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget;
• Collaborating with Senior Management and key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, assumptions, dependencies, value proposition / rationale, and impacted organizational functions and systems;
◦ Resolving conflicts and negotiating changes in project priorities and/or scope
• Serving as liaison to business stakeholders on an ongoing basis; supporting the prioritization of business needs and managing expectations;
• Providing coverage and thought leadership to the team to ensure they are “Connecting the Dots” across complex business challenges, often with many moving parts and firm-wide implications, developing an organized business solution meeting stakeholder/organizational needs;
• Ensuring effective communication with and between management, executive leadership, key stakeholders and project participants to manage expectations, providing status updates, ensuring clarity and accountability of roles and responsibilities, escalating issues, and soliciting ongoing feedback regarding the quality of the team’s deliverables, incorporating feedback into team routines and/or new processes or tools;
• Assigning project roles; managing project scope and deadlines;
• Securing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants;
• Serving as a relationship manager for 3rd party providers;
• Leading project management activities and deliverable development/maintenance including preparation and management of project documents (i.e. Project Charter, Project Plans, Project Status Updates, Issue and Action Item Log, Meeting Agendas, Project Specific Deliverables);
• Conducting project meetings and facilitating collaborative discussions;
• Collaborating / coordinating with IT in the execution of Quality Assurance (QA) testing in line with project milestones;
• Managing the project implementation and control monitoring process; and
• Conducting and memorializing project lessons learned sessions at project closure.
Communication & Facilitation
• Collaborate with the Senior Management and key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, assumptions, dependencies, value proposition / rationale, and impacted organizational functions and systems.

• Serve as liaison to business stakeholders on an ongoing basis; supporting the prioritization of business and enterprise needs and managing expectations.
• Serve as a relationship manager for 3rd party providers.
• Conduct project meetings and facilitating collaborative discussions.
• Collaborate / coordinate closely in partnership with the Information Technology department.
Business Analysis
• Document business, functional, and technical requirements
• Define, develop, and execute training materials in conjunction with the Business Unit.
• Gather, document, analyze and draw conclusions regarding complex data and information (including Workflow, Feasibility, Cost/Benefit, Trend and Cause-and-Effect Analysis).
• Define, coordinate, facilitate and/or execute user acceptance tests against business requirements.
• Document test results and develop remediation plans with IT to address unmet business requirements.
• Document current state (“as is”) and future state (“to be”) processes, systems flows, and data flows.
• Formulate, define and implement improvements to business processes and operations.
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of Project and Process Management experience
• Experience with large scale technology implementations, custom development, and data and system integrations.
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry, specifically the Alternative Asset Management arena is recommended.
• Knowledge of Project Management tools, tactics, and methodologies; Six Sigma and PMP certification a plus.
• Experience with MS Office tools XLS, Project, Access, PPT, and Visio required.
• In-depth knowledge and direct project experience with order management, trading and middle office functions and leading order management (OMS)/trading technologies

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field (and/or equivalent experience). Ideal candidate may also possess an MBA and/or a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
