Description
The VP plays a lead strategic development role in the management of packaged portfolio solutions (both internal and external) to the field, as well as the portfolio construction services offered within the overlay portfolio management group. Job functions include 1) delivering CG Portfolios to the field and related applications, 2) focusing on innovation through third party managers and developing new investment products for CG Portfolios and Custom solutions 3) Channel Development responsibilities to establish new growth opportunities for packaged and custom solutions utilizing overlay utility 4) and support of Portfolio Solutions with the field, focusing on portfolio construction and analysis, and establish Proposal Analytics framework to manage ongoing support. Also will work closely with cross functional partners that support portfolio management, portfolio implementation and portfolio maintenance.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify third party manager opportunities to develop unique portfolio solutions that respond to field need and growth
• Develop and innovate new investment product options for use in portfolios solutions for CG and Custom, delivered by PPG to support a single portfolio construction environment to scale business
• Develop and maintain single FA application to support CG portfolio search, selection, and customization of investment product
• Core partner in Advisory investment committee administration, as well as working with internal portfolio and asset management teams to coordinate CG Portfolio offerings
• Responsible for Channel Development for overlay utility, identifying channels and solutions for new growth opportunities and executing on same
• Participate on field marketing calls and provide updates on third party portfolio menu changes
• Participate in top advisor educational offsite seminars
• Plays a key role in growing Advisory platform AUM
• Has a thorough understanding of the Firm’s products and those of its strategic partners; uses this knowledge to provide resources and direction to drive sales
• Possesses a good understanding of the firm’s resources; able to direct the sales force to the right resources in an efficient manner as to make the sales process more efficient
• Has the ability to effectively apply product/business knowledge to recruiting efforts
Qualifications
• Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Licenses and Registrations
• Active Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) and 24 registrations
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think critically
• Strong attention to detail
• Extensive knowledge of Advisory services (i.e. SMA, UMA, Overlay implementation)
• Experience managing third party relationships
• Ability to interact with senior management team, Financial Advisors, support staff, third party relationships, and corporate and field personnel as needed
• Ability to own projects and lead teams in day to day activities
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete projects
