Department Overview
TD Asset Finance ("TDAF") provides Asset Based Lending ("ABL") financing to both mid market and larger commercial clients across Canada. Client base encompasses both direct and syndicated financing transactions across all industry sectors, with concentration in manufacturing and distribution. TDAF provides committed revolving facilities (margined against a Borrowing Base) starting at $10 million with syndicated transactions in the $100 million plus level. The group consists of senior commercial banking professionals with extensive ABL and commercial banking experience.
TDAF reports under the C.N.A. umbrella.

Job Description
The Director manages a portfolio of 8-12 accounts. The position is supported by a dedicated Senior Analyst who provides credit management for the portfolio. The Director reports to the Director, Head of Relationship Management..
• Focus on risk and portfolio management
• Responsible for originating and closing an established target of new ABL credit relationships each year.
• Periodic presentations to internal and external sources of influence
• Prepare detailed preliminary assessments for review and discussion with TDAF deal team to support the issuance of a term sheet.
• Grow economic profit of the portfolio and maximize RAROC for new and existing relationships.
• Execute predetermined individual customer strategies in line with overall portfolio management strategies
• Actively promote TDAF within the Bank and externally through attendance and participation in appropriate conferences and external industry events.
Job Requirements
Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
• Undergraduate business degree or related work experience
• Asset Based Lending experience would be an asset
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• Previous experience in mid market Commercial Banking as a Relationship Manager or Analyst would be an asset
• Effective selling skills
• Solid credit skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills coupled with analytical ability
• Ability to travel as required
