What is the opportunity?
The Global Investment Banking division is looking to add an Associate/VP to the Business Management team, based in New York City.
What will you do?
• Manage and Coordinate annual budget planning process
• Assist in the annual 5-year line of business strategic review
• Weekly Revenue & Pipeline Maintenance and working with other group heads to understand revenue details
• Review and approve daily and monthly financial P & L for U.S. IB
• Assist in reviewing expenses and follow up with bankers and group heads
• Lead coordinator in assisting internal and external auditors in annual review
• Assist with annual compensation process and provide support to senior management
• On-going lead and for various ad-hoc strategic initiatives and internal management meetings (including business review meetings, weekly management meetings)
• Prepare and interpret strategic & financial reports that combine all aspects of the business; many facets; including: Client Profiling, Banker Productivity, Competitive Analytics, Missed Deals, Creation of bi-weekly, monthly, yearly management packs, Lead business development and multi-year strategic planning
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• Bachelor’s degree or MBA, MA or MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance/accounting preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Investment Banking experience
• Must be advanced with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.
• Project management mind-set and approach
• Highly motivated, committed and responsible, with a demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
• Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels within the organization
• High standards of professional and ethical conduct
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling proprietary information
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Comfort and confidence interacting with Senior Leaders and management
Nice-to-have
• Knowledge of Investment Banking product set preferred (ECM, DCM, M&A Lev Fin)
