What is the opportunity?
The Director of IT Service Management Tools and Reporting is accountable for the implementation and support of Service Management tools required to support our core ITIL processes. In addition, this role is responsible for the design and publication of IT service management reporting.
What will you do?
• Support, manage and improve the existing suite of IT Service Management tools, used both internally and across RBC.
• Oversee the program that will implement the next generation of Service Management tools to support the transformation and improvement of 10 core ITIL processes; leverage effective organizational change management practices to bridge from the current tools to a new target state
• Realize the benefit of IT service management through the reliable and consistent design and execution of IT Service Management reporting to support Service Management Process Owners’ governance needs, process stakeholder information requirements and audit information requests
• Ensure RBC’s IT Service Management tools and reporting standards are in-line with industry best-practices.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
• 5-10 years experience in enterprise-wide reporting and IT Service Management tool suites.
• Experience in IT in financial institutions.
• Experience in process and tool ownership and management at the enterprise level.
• Experience in people management and thought-leadership.
• University Degree in a relevant or applicable field
• ITIL Expert Certification (ITIL V2 or V3, focus on reporting and tools preferred)
• Reporting and Analytics: ability to analyze and rationalize business KPIs, metrics and big data analytics to produce meaningful reporting that illustrates IT Service Management’s business value.
• Managerial Excellence: 5-10 years in a management role, within a customer service organization
Nice to have
• Project management knowledge preferred.
