Department Profile
Morgan Stanley’s Deleveraging and Lending Group (DLG) focuses on traditional Commercial Real Estate as well as Warehouse lending for performing and non-performing loan pools within the Securitized Products Group (SPG). This is a rapidly expanding business within Fixed Income being recognized for providing traditional and innovative financing techniques, helping a wide range of clients throughout Europe to execute their business strategy.
Position Description:
The Deleveraging & Lending Group is currently seeking an experienced Vice President level candidate to work on all aspects of originating, structuring and closing of asset based financing transactions. The successful candidate will ideally have proven experience in financing asset types (loan on loan) across the spectrum of residential mortgage, commercial real estate, SME, credit card and consumer loans.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Designing bespoke financing solutions for clients and internal stakeholders including:
• Structuring and pricing loan financings as bridge to term securitisation
• Structuring and pricing non-performing loan financings
• Managing the underwriting process including liaising with rating agencies, clients and internal stakeholders
• Performing collateral analysis and applying rating agency methodology to benchmark collateral quality
• Collaborate with internal groups such as Credit, Operations, Strats and IT
Qualifications
Skills required (essential):
• Experience in structured products origination / structuring / risk / credit
• Awareness of regulatory and accounting issues associated with securitisation activity
• Strong communication, negotiating, technical and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
