We Offer
The Public Policy Americas Group is involved in advising senior management as well as managing and providing advocacy services regarding US federal regulatory, legislative and agency matters impacting the Bank and its clients.
The position would require registration as a lobbyist and primarily focus on co-teaming on CS’s Democrat advocacy lobby strategy, as well as, internally managing a portfolio of financial issues - which could include New Fed proposals on Capital standards for Foreign Banks, derivatives, Basel IV, equity market structure issues, Tax and trade policy.
Responsibilities:
• Advocacy before US Congress and regulatory agencies
• Significant research and writing in support of group’s Washington research publications
• Active political experience & engagement
• Advising senior management on relevant matters
• Support for various client focused initiatives
You Offer
• Minimum bachelor’s degree. Law degree not required but could add benefit depending on applicant
• 2 to 5 years working on Washington legislative or regulatory matters including time on Capitol Hill or an agency
• High priority on writing skills
• Active and current knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative issues
• Skill at managing complex, high profile issues in a highly charged environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A writing sample will be required
