Morgan Stanley Wealth Management provides full service to clients investing in both domestic and international equities, and wealth management services including financial planning, margin lending and managed funds investments.
The Transaction Services team within Australia Wealth Management Operations is responsible for supporting all transactional level functions for the Australia Wealth Management business. The role will be responsible for managing a team whom support the Margin Lending, Term Deposit, Equity and Option Trade Bookings, and Journals functions. You will be responsible for working with Operations colleagues in Australia and Asia, and work with the Business to service their requirements in these areas. The candidate should have sound trade life-cycle knowledge, and experience in a similar role.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the day-to-day responsibilities within the Transaction Services Team.
• Ensuring all daily processes and SLAs are met within applicable timeframes.
• Providing leadership in the form of active management, appraisals, goal setting.
• Actively monitoring and enhancing current control framework.
• Maintaining a culture of high performance and excellent service for both internal and external clients.
• Be an escalation point for team members and a key reference point for Legal, Risk, and Compliance.
Key Business Relationships:
The incumbent will be required to work with stakeholders, in particular the Term Deposit and Margin Lending Product Managers, and others across the organisation including: Technology, Business Management, Risk Management, Sales, Trading, Operations Management, Legal and Compliance, Tax, Finance.
Qualification Required:
• Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce.
• Minimum 4 years financial markets experience.
• Experience managing high performing teams.
• Understanding of regulatory rules and how they apply to the business
