Summary:
The Private Fund Group (“PFG”), is the leading private capital global fundraising and advisory group, with professionals located in New York, London, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Hong Kong. The PFG raises private capital for domestic and international direct investment firms (or general partners) focused on a wide range of investment strategies. Our clients include firms investing in leveraged buyouts, distressed securities, private debt, real estate, secondaries, venture capital, natural resources, infrastructure and emerging markets. The PFG raises capital from investors (or limited partners) worldwide, including public and private pension funds, endowments, foundations, funds of funds, commercial banks, insurance companies and family offices/high net worth individuals. In addition, the PFG operates a Secondary Advisory Business which develops tailored process solutions that provide liquidity to investors in both private equity and hedge funds.
The PFG seeks to hire a Distribution Banker to assist with the coverage of Latin America (primarily Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) and southeast United States.
A PFG Distribution Banker establishes and maintains relationships with investors via a thorough understanding of the investors’ investment portfolio, their alternative investment allocation and needs, and the individual investment process of the investor. The PFG Distribution Bankers are expected to maintain regular dialogue with their clients, establish a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment of each jurisdiction they cover, schedule road show meetings where appropriate between investors and general partners, collect feedback on the meetings and guide the general partner through the investor's fund review process.
Required Skills:
• The candidate must be a positive, influential and trustworthy advisor to his/her accounts, while upholding the firm’s and the group’s reputation and credibility. The candidate can expect a high degree of travel with the position. It is expected the job will initially be based out of Dallas, TX or New York, NY; however, the PFG is open to candidates based in other cities in Latin America
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Fluent Spanish and English (Portuguese also highly valued)
• Client and internal communication skills
• Strong team approach to business
• Excellent organizational skills
