The Capital Markets and Investment Solutions Strategy group in Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management division is looking to hire a high-performing Senior Associate / VP to the team
• The position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior business leaders across the entire suite of Capital Markets (Fixed Income, Equities, Structured Investments) and Investment Products (Alternatives, Mutual Funds, ETFs, CEFs, UITs, and 529s), as well as with our industry-leading fee-based Advisory platform
• The position functions as an internal management consulting role, with primary responsibility for helping develop, advise on, and execute strategic initiatives targeted at driving revenue growth, reducing excess costs, and implementing efficient business practices across the organization
• Sample work efforts vary greatly, but include: developing efficient client segmentations for improved product sales coverage, evaluating business impacts/approaches in response to pending industry regulatory changes, new investment product opportunity review, pricing, and platform positioning, creation of an annual budgeting and resource allocation strategy, and evaluating market trends, competitive forces, and internal competencies to identify emerging and new opportunities for the business
Qualifications
3-6 years of experience in a management consulting, or internal consulting/strategy role, preferably working with or in the financial services industry
• Comfortable managing multiple work efforts with competing priorities, while consistently delivering within the required management timelines
• Experience leading cross-divisional and cross-functional project efforts in a matrix organization
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and leverage relationships to achieve the needed results
• Experience preparing and leading presentations to senior management, including the ability to distill complex analyses into simple decision points and insights
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Familiarity with SAP-Business Objects, Tableau, Alpine a plus
