What is the opportunity?
The Director, Global Supplier Management provides management and oversight of CRE’s Supplier Management program, Supplier Strategy and management of CRE’s significant outsourcing relationships. Act as CRE’s Centre of Excellence for Supplier Management – supporting the elements critical to CRE’s global target operating model. Management and implementation of strategic global Supplier Management initiatives for CRE aligned to RBC’s Supplier Management Group (SMG) standards including legal and regulatory compliance. Implement enhanced Supplier Management programs to accelerate value creation and improve ability to leverage our suppliers.
What will you do?
• Responsible for CRE’s Global Supplier Management Centre of Excellence (COE) ensuring effective support of regional delivery teams
• Lead the implementation of infrastructure and process to align CRE globally to ensure consistency through all service lines including standard process, tools & procedures
• Align with RBC Procurement to ensure contract strategy for CRE suppliers is aligned and Procurement are compliant with SMG policy before “handoff” of suppliers
• Align with RBC Global Supplier Management Group as CRE representative for RBC Supplier Management program including any Supplier Risk Management initiatives
• Act as Global Supplier Manager (GSM) for CRE’s material suppliers
• Manage contract performance and measurement methodology to align to RBC policy and procedures for Outsourced Suppliers
• Accountable for the continuous improvement and operation of CRE’s supplier management program and implementation for all suppliers globally
• Direct and oversee the Supplier Management teams at Outsourced provider who manage suppliers on behalf of CRE
• Align all CRE suppliers to oversight of CRE Supplier Management program and alignment to RBC Supplier Oversight Group
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• Knowledge and experience in at least one Corporate Real Estate function
• University Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Corporate Real Estate at a Financial Institution
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Technology systems and enabling tools
• Experience in all / most areas of Corporate Real Estate functions is an asset
