What is the opportunity?
Corporate Banking plays a key role in the realisation of Capital Markets’ objectives through the structuring, delivery and management of the bank lending to our targeted customers. Corporate Banking also oversees and manages the European Infrastructure, Acquisition and Leverage Finance loan books. Corporate Banking is also actively involved in cross selling from an identification, selling, coordination and execution perspective.
What will you do?
• Management of a portfolio of corporate relationships.
• Undertaking client visits to keep apprised of developments and client needs.
• Proactively identifying operational risks / control deficiencies in the business.
• Reviewing and complying with Firm Policies applicable to relevant business activities.
• Escalating operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks identified, both to line manager and/or the relevant control functions, as appropriate. ensuring that the borrower and/or sponsor fulfils its obligations to provide timely financial statements, budgets, business plans, compliance certificates and such other information as required under the financing documentation;
• Reviewing these materials to identify both positive and negative trends and establish a full understanding of the variance of actual results versus budget and business plans;
• Conducting periodic meetings with the management of the borrower and/or sponsor to discuss business performance and developments, and to identify whether there might be opportunites to cross-sell other RBCCM products to the client;
• Assisting Syndications during the secondary sell-down process;
• Reviewing and processing any amendments and waivers as requested by the borrower;
• Prepare credit submissions and be responsible for all deal/relationship coordination and work with GRM and ComCom for credit process and documentation ;
• Develop new business in a positive, sales culture oriented manner.
• Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviours that contribute to RBC goals.
• Identify, assess and manage operational risks/control deficiencies in the business.
• Work to prevent, to detect, and to eliminate the potential for risk and liability to the Firm.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• Graduate, with background and work experience in finance.
• Strong analytical, technical, written and communication skills. Competency in Word, Excel.
• In depth knowledge of loan, security and ancillary documentation, credit standards, strategies, policies and guidelines.
