Position Summary:
The Global Real Estate (GRE) team is seeking to add a Director to support the Portfolio Management team in all commercial mortgage activities nationally. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to work in Newport Beach or San Francisco.
Major Responsibilities:
• Work independently with loan originators, borrowers, correspondents and counsel to verify that all underwriting and closing requirements are met for each loan originated.
• Work with counsel to negotiate loan documents
• Monitor property performance, loan compliance, borrower requests, modifications and loan payoffs.
• Provide ongoing analysis and research, including updates to financial models to update, evaluate and reforecast investment performance.
• Generate internal investment summaries, memorandum and reports in connection with existing portfolio loans with ability to present results.
• Act as a point of contact with internal business partners including originators, accounting, valuation, appraisal, real estate equity, risk management and law.
• Handle external contacts with law firms, financial advisors, other creditors, loan servicers and borrowers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Real Estate. Other majors considered depending upon experience.
• Minimum five years of commercial mortgage loan closings and administration experience.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.
Desired Skills:
• Masters Degree or CFA a plus.
• Working knowledge of Argus and Excel.
• Knowledge of structured subordinate debt transactions is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated team player with positive work ethic and comfort working in a fast paced, demanding environment.
