Position Summary:
The Global Real Estate (GRE) team is seeking to add a Director to support the Portfolio Management team in the area of surveillance for all commercial mortgage activities nationally. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to work in Charlotte or New York.
Major Responsibilities:
• Evaluate credit quality and performance of loans to identify risk within the portfolio and make recommendations to senior management to mitigate the risk.
• Monitor and enforce covenant and trigger events outlined in loan documents.
• Oversee property level valuations in order to value asset and apply risk ratings
• Review market research and projections to determine various factors impacting property level performance.
• Communicate defaults to senior management and monitor watch list loans
• Work closely with senior manager in analyzing strategies for workouts, restructure, foreclosures, acquisitions and dispositions.
• Manage asset management including borrower requests requiring negotiating, structuring and recommending modifications
• Review investor reports and respond to investor requests
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Real Estate. Other majors considered depending upon experience.
• Minimum ten years of commercial real estate mortgage loan experience.
• Working knowledge of Argus and Excel.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
Desired Skills:
• Masters Degree or CFA a plus.
• Work out and/or distressed loan experience
• Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated team player with positive work ethic and comfort working in a fast paced, demanding environment.
