Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
The Business Engagement & Client Reporting team within Asia Wealth Management (AWM) Operations is responsible for producing AWM official client statements, including valuations and performance measurements. The team complete daily reconciliation of client, transactional and security data, ensuring the accuracy of all information reported on client statements.
The team also provides client services such as handling front office enquiries, new business requests, preparing management and regulatory reports, and managing the New Product Approval (NPA) process. This is a cross-product, cross-function role; providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain exposure to a diverse range of products and functions.
The team is currently looking for a Director with experience for a role within the Client Reporting & Reconciliation side of the team.
The ideal candidate may have prior experience in a similar role. Key functions of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Reconcile positions and balances on client accounts; investigate and resolve breaks to ensure records accurately reflect for Client Reporting purposes
• Manage security referential data within the client reporting systems, including security pricing and data integrity checks
• Proactively manage deadlines and SLAs
• Prepare bespoke client reports for AWM clients
• Prepare metrics and management reports for AWM management, including KRI's and KPI's
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing independent callback requests from the business.
• Initiate outgoing calls to the client together with the Sales Team and performing the role of an independent party to authenticate the client's identity and request.
• Participate or perform independent callback for changes to client contact information, specimen signature and asset transfers
• Ensure that client instructions are complete and required documents are duly completed prior to conducting a callback
• Verify client account details using internal systems and determining if there are exceptions which require Client Identification Validation (CIV) to be performed
• Extract and prepare the CIV questions/answers based on client profile and account(s), from relevant systems/repositories
• Liaise with business to clarify any discrepancies
• Escalate any risk issues to management
Qualifications
Skills Preferred
• Strong investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience of data reconciliation and breaks resolution
• Strong attention to detail and be highly deadline oriented
• Acute awareness of risk, with clear focus on control and timely escalation of risk items to management
• A proactive nature, challenging and questioning processes, seeking innovative solutions to improve efficiency and mitigate risk
• Excellent teamwork skills, outgoing and motivated
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Effective organizational skills
• Self-motivated with an ability to work consistently and efficiently under pressure
• Ability to lead by example
• Experience of producing management and regulatory reports is desired but not essential
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office - experience of spreadsheets, formulae and pivot tables is advantageous
