What is the opportunity?
As a Director of Internal Audit Services, you will provide independent and objective evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management practices, internal control and corporate governance processes for the US IHC, US Branch and all related areas. You will be engaged in supporting IAS and the needs of the various US Regulators by developing and maintaining a US Audit Universe, US Risk Assessment, a suite of US Audit Policies; providing the related training and implementation support. You will provide significant input in meeting expectations of the Regulators and the Board of Directors.
What will you do?
• Work closely with the MD of Internal Audit to develop US focused audit strategies addressing IAS regulatory needs particularly SR13-1.
• Construct a US IAS universe including both the businesses in the US and the supporting functions that meets the needs of the various regulators including the Federal Reserve, the OCC, FINRA, SEC, etc.
• Implement a US risk assessment platform including ongoing monitoring and continuing risk assessment to facilitate to meet SR13-1 requirements.
• Prepare and implement a suite of IAS US policies to ensure all US directed work is completed according to US Regulations
• Work closely with all audit groups and regulators, within a matrix structure, to ensure all US audit work meets US regulatory expectations.
• Address the US across all 5 businesses as well as the functions that support the US, formulate policy, build and maintain a US dynamic universe and work closely with a number of different regulators.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• 10 years financial services experience (US focus)
• More than 10 years of Audit experience in Financial Services
• 5 years of direct or indirect US Regulatory experience
• CPA
Nice to have
• Post Graduate Preferred
