I. Market Strategy Investment (MSI)
Market Strategy Investment (MSI) is a joint venture set up between Private Wealth Management Asia (PWM), Fixed Income and Commodities (FIC) and Institutional Equity Division (IED), which primarily focuses on marketing and advisory of Fixed Income products (FX and Rates in particular) to the Firm’s PWM clients across Asia (ex-Japan).
II BACKGROUND
Headquartered in Hong Kong, MSI is currently seeking an experienced and high-performing Fixed Income Trader, up to Vice President level.
Reporting to senior management based in Hong Kong, this Fixed Income Trader will collaborate closely with Investment Representatives (IRs) who are PWM relationship managers for UHNW or HNW clients.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensure and facilitate timely execution of fixed income trades such as cash bonds, bond options and hybrid products via open architecture platform
• Develop and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships to generate useful and credible market insight, trends and ideas
• Proactively share with clients and IRs market updates and credible investment strategies and fixed income portfolio reviews
• Conduct training and sharing sessions with IRs on product know-how and new product launch
• Engage in new product development initiatives
• Ensure team operate in compliance with regulatory requirements and Firm policies*LI-JG1
Qualifications
• A university degree from a recognized institution with superior academic credentials
• 5-10 years of Trading experience in Bonds across HY, IG, Asian and Global
• Excellent bilingual communications skills in English and Mandarin with ability to read, write and speak necessary
• Proven ability to cope with stress
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to work long hours with resilience to thrive in a small and supportive team-setting
• Drive to succeed in a small and supportive team-setting
• Competency in operating MS Excel and PowerPoint, and other trade execution platforms
