Risk Management protects the firm from exposure to losses resulting from defaults by our lending and trading counterparties.
Background on the Team
Morgan Stanley's Firm Risk Management (FRM) division is seeking a strong candidate to join the team managing Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST) processes. Regulatory deliverables prepared by the team are critical to the ability of the Firm to continue operations.
Background on the Position
Candidates will have significant exposure to the FRM senior management team. To be successful, candidates will benefit from relevant experience, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to work on a small specialized team. The applicant should have a minimum of five years of experience at a financial institution, consulting firm, or audit firm preferably in a capital planning or stress testing role. Prior risk management experience is a strong plus. Work history should demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical and spreadsheet skills. Title and pay will be consistent with years of experience and prior work history.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary job responsibilities include:
-Liaising with Corporate Treasury and Finance on capital planning and stress testing
-Managing risk identification process
-Working with risk managers and model owners on stress testing methodologies
-Working with stakeholders across Market, Credit and Operational Risk, Model Risk Management, Risk Analytics and other areas to ensure adherence to regulatory guidance and best practices
-Producing documentation and presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management and regulators
-Developing methods and tools to streamline and increase efficiencies of various CCAR and DFAST related work streams
-Enhancing processes to support governance and controls, including attestation, challenge and senior management review
