Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.

The WM network includes more than 15,000 Financial Advisors (FAs) with total client assets of over $2 trillion. WM provides comprehensive financial advice and services to its clients including brokerage, investment advisory, financial and wealth planning, credit & lending, deposits & cash management, annuities, insurance, retirement and trust services. MS is expanding its deposit and lending services to serve the retail banking, private banking and commercial banking needs of WM clients. Private Banking Operations (PBO) is an organization that supports this effort. PBO is seeking a high quality Director to be a part of our change management team that supports the key banking change initiatives.
The Private Bank Operations (PBO) Change the Bank team manages cross-divisional, cross-product, and firm-wide initiatives on behalf of Private Banking Operations and the Private Banking Group within Wealth Management . The role is multi-faceted and offers the opportunity to lead multiple project initiatives and represent PBO during project lifecycle (Analyze, Design, Build, Test and Implementation). The Deposits Program targets initiatives that help grow healthy deposit balances in Morgan Stanley Bank N.A. and Morgan Stanley Private Bank N.A. This ranges from new deposit product offerings to sweep fund conversions that create balance sheet optimization.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Define project scope and timeline, stakeholders, and communication plan
Capture and manage project risks and issues - ensure effective escalation and closure
Manage status call with project team
Work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
Document requirements and review with key stakeholders as necessary
Review testing strategies and coordinate with test lead resource on execution of test plan
Develop strong partnerships with Technology, Operations, and PBG business team to deliver change.
Coordinate project go-live activities with product, technology and operations including - preparation of kick-off document, run-book, ensure appropriate approvals are in place to support deployment
Quantify project impacts to operations where applicable
Skills Required
Experience in project management and/or business analysis
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
Self-motivated and autonomous
Keen attention to detail
Strong communication and influencing skills
Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
Capable of setting direction and motivating team members outside the direct reporting line
Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to bring un-focused issues to resolution
Strong time management skills ; Performs the majority of day-to-day activities with minimal guidance and supervision
Fluency with all MS Office tools, including Power Point, Excel, Project, and Visio
Bachelors Degree
