Opportunity Overview
The Systems and Data team within Branch Insights, Learning and Support is a highly collaborative team serving Branch Development in technology strategy and execution. This team participates in high priority projects to ensure that Branch Teams continue to be highly productive with easy to use tools and organization of information while enabling reporting and analysis.
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be in a role that drives the daily experience of our branch teams and region leadership teams. This position plays a critical role in leading cross-divisional groups of leaders and associates to launch newly developed and/or enhanced branch and region management tools to our branch teams in addition to many home office based support applications. You will be relied upon as a subject matter expert on many of the firm's tools to help our branches manage and evolve their business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively collaborate with cross-divisional teams of varying levels of responsibility (BD, Operations, IS, etc.) to design, build, and implement a complex and expansive suite of tools to evolve and support Branch and Regional teams
• Lead and support the work to define the strategy for evolving our field facing, region support, and home office support technology stack
• Create, maintain and review business process models, data flows, prototypes, business requirements, use cases and test case
• Serve as a data and subject matter expert within the assigned area of responsibility
• Balance the demands of multiple complex projects simultaneously with a high degree of visibility and urgency, often with overlapping timeframes and spanning multiple areas across the firm/division
• Execute and present written and verbal business systems impact analysis resulting in identification of solutions with high impact
• Generate communication, process and educational plans to mitigate the disruption of change
• Understanding of enterprise systems and impacts of change
• Responsible for business case development and presentation of new systems and data
• Mentor and build capabilities of other associates on the team as needed
Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in Computer Science or MIS strongly preferred (or relevant work experience).
• Advanced knowledge of standard Business System Analyst principles and practices.
• 5+ years experience designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.
• Ability to research data definition, usage and flow to gain expertise in existing systems.
• Ability to create new business processes and data usage to promote efficiency.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks / projects with minimal assistance.
• Expert relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Expert troubleshooting skills to investigate resolve and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
• Associate must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Lead other associates or project entities without authority.
• Ability to effectively communicate with enterprise leaders using verbal, written and presentations skills.
• Ability to summarize highly complex business cases, system information and concepts and clearly communicate to firm leadership.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to provide working system prototypes and scenario modeling.
• Expert to learn evolving firm reporting technology platforms (Tableau, BI tools)
• Proficient understanding of data warehouse concepts.
