Basic Purpose
The Help Desk Specialist will provide front-line technical support of desktop, laptop and mobile devices for Eaton Vance users in the Washington DC office, and remote assistance to all Eaton Vance users. This position is also responsible for managing the Help Desk ticket system, which includes tracking and coordinating the resolution of user requests and issues, routine reporting and charting of Help Desk statistics. It is crucial that this person has excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills since they will be the main touch point and first point of contact for all clients.
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage End User requests for the Washington DC office
• Assist the Help Desk team with incidents and requests tickets from all offices
• Provide frontline computer trouble shooting / problem resolution
• Provide computer trouble shooting / problem resolution support to remote users
• Process System Access requests
• Provide assistance with AV and Conference Room Support
• Coordinate and/or execute hardware repairs
• Install and configure desktop computers and printers
• Perform administrative duties (ordering supplies, receiving of equipment, and
performing inventories)
• Assist in process and documentation improvements
• Participates on a rotating on call coverage
• Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
• Associate’s degree or 2 years of college in IT related field
• 1+ years of technical experience supporting hardware and software in
multi-user networked environment
• Must be personable, have a customer-friendly attitude and have the ability to work in a team environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office client applications
• Strong communication skills are required
• An ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
• An ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Excellent investigative and problem solving abilities
• Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
