The primary role of the Associate Developer, JAVAis to develop, modify, and maintain back-end Java applications for our proposal generation platform. Performing in a team environment, this person works closely with project and quality assurance teams to deliver timely and robust solutions to clients.

Specific responsibilities include:
• •Address software design needs primarily related to software enhancements or bugs, including review and analysis of client or technical requirements
• •With routine to general direction, research possible solutions and designs applications to meet technical requirements and optimize software functionality
• •Write code to create or modify applications
• •Perform developer-level software testing; review and analyze test results from QA team
• •Maintains documentation of case status and resolution in case management system
• •Escalate more complex issues to senior software developers when appropriate
• •Participate in team meetings and provide regular communication with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of solutions
• •Adhere to compliance/risk procedures and exhibit detailed attention to policies while maintaining focus on clients’ best interest
• •Drive customer experience to high levels of satisfaction by adhering to our corporate values
Qualifications:
• •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
• •At least 1 year of related work or industry experience
• •Basic working knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and languages, such as Java, C, C++, Python, or comparable
• •Experience with source control systems and experience using issue tracking software is a plus.
• •Experience performing related work in the Financial Services industry, database design, and data representation and algorithms is also a plus.
• •Motivated by the opportunity to be part of a fast moving, entrepreneurial team
• •Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and extremely organized
• •Ability to work with all levels of clients, management and employees
