The Global Merchant Services (GMS) Global Strategy and Capabilities (GS&C) team’s mission is to deliver a best-in-class premium merchant member experience that will get merchants to not only accept American Express, but openly welcome and recommend us to their customers. To do this, our team Merchant Platforms & Capabilities (MP&C) creates tools and capabilities to deliver efficient, effective, predictable and compliant transaction processing through the GMS Platforms.
The MP&C Portfolio Governance team manages the program governance processes and provides an objective view of delivery status, including risks / issues, changes, and major decisions to the leadership team. It seeks to drive collaboration, establish clear leadership, minimize disruption, and institutionalize governance. The goal of the team is to drive strong collaboration, transparency and efficiency to forge partnerships across the GMNS business and technology teams.
The successful candidate will:
• Assist with compiling and maintaining data to support portfolio decisioning
• Serve as the portfolio liaison and resource to the product teams regarding processes and practices as it relates to Agile
• Compile scorecard metrics results and communicate to the product teams
• Access management for team Sharepoint sites and Rally workspaces
• Perform audits on Rally workspaces and provide direction to product teams on resolution
• Remain informed of activities from Enterprise PMO to inform our product teams of upcoming changes
Qualifications
• Proficient in Sharepoint, CA Agile (Rally) and Microsoft Office 365
• Experience with Sharepoint Designer, Infopath and Confluence, a plus
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile methodology preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience in measuring, tracking and reporting program results
• High level of flexibility with the ability to absorb new information and adapt to change quickly
• Team player, comfortable to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, within a cross border, remote team environment
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with at all organizational levels
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently/with minimal supervision
• Motivated self-starter
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
