JOB SUMMARY
The duties of this position include performing a variety of functions primarily related to the Automated Clearing House (ACH) entry process and settlement to support a number of areas within the Bank.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree preferred
• 0 - 1 Years experience in function
• 1 - 3 Years experience in industry
• Demonstrated mastery of Excel, Word, and Outlook required, in addition to a solid knowledge of FIS Suite, Fedline, internet banking and banking products
• In depth knowledge of payment processing, with a focus in the area of ACH and experience NACHA and Greenbook rules and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, including prioritizing and multi-tasking
• Strong attention to detail and superior customer service skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Decisions and/or repairs high volume of ACH exception transactions within the allotted time period, accurately with the proper return or NOC reasons daily
• Reviews and decisions ACH exception transactions for reason of stop payment
• Reviews and processes ACH transaction returns with deceased owners
• Reviews and/or processes requests for automatic internal or external transfers and sweeps
• Submits manual transactions for processing
• Gathers data, prepares reports, and performs other clerical duties
• Reviews maintenance, transactions, etc as secondary dual control
• Utilizes work flow system to receive and process work requests
• Assists coworkers as needed to ensure all department duties are completed according to department requirements
• Responsible for maintaining a proactive collaboration and partnership with key business stakeholders
• Communicates with internal branches, departments and call centers
• Communicates with external financial institutions, government agencies, Federal Reserve, vendors, etc.
• Promptly responds to customer requests and inquiries
• Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously
• Provides tier 1 level of support
