Minimum core responsibilities:
• Attend a mix of formal and on-the-job training opportunities to learn more about key Underwriting concepts.
• Provides timely and high-quality work in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Communicates effectively with internal/external stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Applies time management skills to prioritize deadlines appropriately.
• Works well independently but also has strong skills working in a team environment.
• Build business and professional skills that will prepare you for leadership positions.
Group Underwriting assesses financial risks related to LFG insurance products, determines the price at which LFG will accept the risks related to those insurance products, alters coverage plans or levels based upon risk and pricing, and binds LFG in transactions for those insurance products. Underwriters determine whether to accept or reject a risk based upon analysis of information regarding the customer/potential customer.

• College sophomore or junior
• A minimum GPA of 3.0
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• Self-motivated and results-oriented
• Exceptional communication skills
• Effective networking skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to deal with change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to relocate for summer program
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
