Green Pixel Studios is charged with pushing the envelope on user experience design in digital. This role, reporting to the Director of Design Engineering, will set the stage for the evolution of user experience in financial services. We are looking for someone who is passionate about envisioning experiences that push imaginative solutions to enable the bank’s clients to fulfill their financial dreams.
This hybrid position is a leadership role that will work closely with UI/UX research & design in order to transfer ideas and code between teams. The successful candidate has a background in technology with a devotion to good design and aesthetics.

Green Pixel Studios colleagues are charged with devoting dedicated time to pursuing innovation and delivering UX/UI expertise to the Bank in its digital projects. This role with the studio team will support the Consumer Bank in all digital business areas that include the dot com storefront, sales applications, the secure user environments of online and mobile banking, and internal sites as needed.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with creative and technical teams to deliver first class user-centric experiences
• Develop high-fidelity interactive prototypes for deployment on multiple device types
• Interpret UI/UX design and research for translation into deliverable code and graphic artifacts
• Drive implementation of interactive style guides and UI component libraries
• Proactively explore new technologies through research and applied innovation
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies as part of project execution
• Confidently articulate (spoken and written) how a solution answers user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Lead and mentor other colleagues to achieve defined goals and measurements of success
• Define and document best practices for UI deliverables and process
• Advocate for the end-user
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
• At least 5 years’ experience in front-end development (HTML5, iOS, or Android)
• Exposure to both native mobile and web development
• Strong portfolio of pertinent work (actual design and/or the implementation of the design by others)
• Knowledge of the latest UI/UX prototyping tools, trends and best practices
• Experience with multiple development frameworks and shared libraries
• Experience with code repository tools and concepts such as Git and Subversion
• Experience with the software development lifecycle
• Understanding of technical platforms and concepts (i.e. REST, API, CMS, AJAX, etc.)
• Experience with accessibility and ADA compliance
• Positive, proactive and helpful attitude
• Expertise with graphic production tools (Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Sketch)
• Strong listening, organization, and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and appreciation for art and design, but being an actual designer is not required
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Background in graphic design and/or interaction design
• Understanding of the principles of animation
• Experience with cross-team interactions
• Experience creating specs for UI deliverables, including states, behaviors and style
• Experience with CI/CD
• Ability to whiteboard, document and lead sessions with product and development teams to derive innovative solutions
• Experience with project tracking systems such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study (i.e. Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or New Media)

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30 – 5:00
